The Bible is full of romantic stories, but only one perfect romance. That is the romance of Adam and Eve. Imagine how they must have looked at each other, two perfect people in two perfect bodies. The only account of "pure love" known to man.
Consider the Song of Solomon. Solomon had 1,000 wives and concubines, but he wrote this beautiful song to just one, the nameless Shulamite woman. It is said that this woman was Solomon's only true romance and it shows. The love and desire expressed in this book is like none other. Even though there is not one mention of God in the entire book, it radiates the love of one man for one woman and reflects God's love for his bride, the church.
